Main weapon in
the Andromeda galaxy, the laser weapon is a form of invisible light beam that
travels with a "bolt" pulse of light that are mainly coloured red, green, or
blue. When the bolt/beam hits the target, it instantly creates a plasma
explosion, causing damage. The laser comes in two different forms: bolt, and
visible beam. The bolt I have described, but the visible beam is more like an
actual laser overtop of the invisible beam. For unexplainable reasons, the
visible and invisible beams seem to meld together, increasing the power of the
weapon. Also beam lasers are charged from antimatter mini cores, not from power
packs.
Lasers are fired from cannons/turrets (vehicles, defense systems, starships/starfighters),
or out of a gun (rifles, pistols, repeaters are normally metallic shards!)
Turrets/cannons are (duh) more powerful since they are mainly powered by energy
_cores_ instead of power packs. Of course portable guns are for civilian/soldier
use, only used in a vehicle on a JX-77 Airspeeder, when its special "JX-77-1"
rifle is connected to the rifle port.
These variable
speed (slower or faster than light) weapons hold an explosive charge about the
same as 1000 medium lasers. With energy that much, they can down a small D-33-11
frigate with 5 hits! About 7 ft. long, a transdimensional torpedo is too
big/dangerous to be used as a handheld weapon. For that, you would use a L3-1
Conceva Missile Launcher. Transdimensional torpedoes are only mounted in large
starships, and transdimensional mini-torpedoes are mounted on fighters, since
they are only 8 inches long, and only pack a punch about the same as 25 lasers.
Transdimensional torpedoes are different, because they go through
dimensions that the target's shields do not protect against, that are in the
dimensional range that the torpedo is set to.
Graviton (GT) torpedoes are weaker, about 500 medium lasers, and use
different technology based on artificial gravity, so they cannot pass through
anti-graviton (0 g) shields.
Laser swords
are pure energy blades about 3ft long, with a round hilt, that mainly have
colours of blue, green, orange, yellow, or purple for good, but red for evil.
Some evil swords have "good" colour blades if they belong to someone who just
went evil from good. Laser swords can cut through anything but other blades, or
laser blasts(energy is deflected[swords are like shields as well]).
Warp systems allow enormous amounts of energy to
be created, thus powering the main parts of a ship along with the starship's
main battery, which is charged by the warp core. The core is also mainly used
for powering the warp drive, which allows starships to go faster than light.
Some example warp 'factors' are:
Warp 6: Cruising speed
Warp 9: Max Cruise
Warp 9.994: Platinum Eagle's Max Emergency speed(12hrs)
Warp cores are powered by matter and antimatter
colliding in a controlled reaction. It uses an invention of a "sub-isotope" of
hydrogen that was invented in 2416, that consists of a hydrogen atom with a
nitrogen atom, put together with geometrical radioactive fusion, an invention
first demonstrated in 2398. The sub-isotope is named 'duogen'. It is channeled
through a fusion reactor with anti-duogen, to create massive amounts of energy.
Sensors allow a
starship/fighter to see long distances, and scan targets for identification.
They are used also in high-class eyescan security systems, and in class-4
automatic missiles. Without these sensors, a ship wouldn't survive in space.
Think--travelling 500 x lightspeed, would you like to be blindfolded? I think
not!
Shields are
energy fields surrounding objects to protect them from energy, matter, and other
obstacles. Without these shields, a ship travelling 500 x lightspeed, even a
miniscule particle would destroy a starship. Standard shields mounted aboard FUS
starships/fighters have a blue shimmer to them on impact. ESBG shields have a
green colour. Kilathian shields are red coloured.
The basic shields are ray-generated shields. They are basic, but weak.
They cannot protect against TD torpedoes, or GT torpedoes. The next big step up
is anti-graviton shields. They protect against GT torpedoes, but not TD
torpedoes. The strongest are multidimensional shields, and they protect against
both major torpedoes
