Feeling safe lately? Are you children safe? No? Well gee, must be criminals again huh? We've already shot all the wolves, the bears are hiding in the woods, cougars slink away to the shadows, but don't worry, there's always criminals and TERRORISTS to fear!!! Whoopee, never a lack of predators on this lovely planet. If the animals don't get you, Mother Nature has a few good storms up her sleeve.
So you want to feel safe. You have a Right To Feel Safe, don't you? Your government's Job is to make sure you live long and prosper and have many fine babies that have grandchildren for you, right?
There's this thing called a cage. It's what I use to protect my pets in my house when their own stupidity causes them to be unsafe with the household stove, sharpies, their own stupid panic flying against windows or eating electrical cords or whatever that particular animal's habit might be. It's also incredibly convenient for me as a control item. Any time the animal is acting in a manner that I don't like, I can lock it up till I feel like releasing it again and it can't do or say a thing. I have utter autocratic jurisdiction over these animals. They don't really like that. But I do keep them safe and fed and they live long and healthy slave lives.
You can too. Just give your government the ability to do whatever it says it needs to do in order to protect you. When it proposes yet another restriction on your life or that of some of your fellow citizens, sit back and nod sagely and agree that security is our first concern. Whenever someone threatens you or your family, demand greater government controls.
Demand better identification cards so that all citizens can be tracked. Demand better tracking. Demand that your government can keep track of everything you and your neighbors can do. When they bring in more controls, co-operate. You'll be safer.
Well, as long as your government continues to have your best interests in heart. It does, doesn't it? I mean aren't you the voter the most important thing going on?
That's the root of democracy and revolution, you see. There are power grabbers in the world, there always have been. They aren't just greedy for extra candy, they want utter control for not only themselves but their dynastic family interests also. They want that special grace of complete freedom and complete security that comes only with complete control over others and utter inexhaustible wealth. They'll do anything to get it and the more they have, the more they're able to get. These people have the ability to corrupt and control your government. They can do so and it's in their interests to do so and they most likely have already done so.
This is where the concept of Unjust Laws comes in. When your government no longer serves it's employers, the citizens, it begins to make rules and laws and restrictions that do not serve the citizens. Now we begin to see the formation of that so called slippery slope we all hear about. In small ways, little things, our government slowly edges us towards a gorge which holds despotic servitude at the bottom. There is where you find yourself jailed for something as stupid as not wanting to fight in the army against the factory workers on strike for fair working conditions. There is where you learn not to complain about family members being hauled away in the middle of the night by black vans with badge carrying police.
I know it seems awfully paranoid to worry about these things in a lovely country like Canada but it's the paranoid few who help the complacent many to keep things lovely. It's when we demand controls over the law breaking that we actually kill our freedom. A citizenry is only as free as it's ability to break an unjust law. If your government one day is able to destroy a good man who simply wanted to live a clean life and not be enslaved and mistreated, and there's nothing anyone can do to help him, that will be YOUR fault for wanting too much security and taking too little responsibility yourself.
