Carving

Is there a point? Yes, there sure is. But sometimes knowing what it is will defeat the purpose.
The pain we suffer in life is the way it feels to have God/dess carving us.
We start out with raw material. Sometimes it's dark wood, sometimes it's light wood, but it's always the finest wood. The more we try to twist away from the knives, the harder it is to produce a finished work and the more danger there is that a knife will go astray and we'll need twice as much carving, come out half as big, and maybe just get tossed on the fire in disgust.

So embrace the pains of life. Work with the carver. Do everything you can to be the best person you can be even when it means less satisfaction to you. Even when it seems to promote wickedness in others. Remember, you only have to worry about your own carving, let the artist worry about the cuts on the other blockheads around you! Sometimes too, the artist may pick you up and use you as a hammer on them, tolerate this and try not to be too proud lest they do the same back to you.
It's hard to say how long the carving takes. At least a good portion of your lifetime anyway, but the prized place on the shelf will be yours, and sooner if you don't try to get away from God/dess's knives.
Good luck my blockheaded friends and keep your hopes up.

I'm starting to see the shape of the figure in my block of wood and I see someone dusting a lovely sunny spot to place me. It looks like a lovely work of art. I kinda like the blockhead who's going to be placed next to me too. :-)
