"Funeral Urn"
forged mild steel

This funeral urn is creates a sculptural form that is also a functional vessel. I believe that people's lives were not boring so a final resting place can be as unique and varied as that person's life. I have used texture and the contrasting straight and circular elements to symbolize that a whole person is made up of complex pieces. These pieces are assembled into our psyche differently in everyone.
The sculptural urn reminds us that there is always more to a person than what we see from one side.


"Stylized Grave Cross"

The Cross is a familiar symbol to people of the Christian faith. It acts as a marker and an identifier. I constructed this cross to be even more symbolic. To me the arms symbolize the radiating of belief out from a central point. Each one of us is the center point and our belief and its influence on those around us are the radiating points.
