Sponsored in part by Althea Productions
This will be an introductory level workshop in basic unarmed combat techniques. The focus is on developing safe and powerful actions that give the illusion of combat. Be prepared to get physical and sweat. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and athletic footwear. You may want to bring a change of clothing (at least a clean shirt!) for the reception following. Come prepared to participate actively and have fun!
Admission is free but advance registration required. U of T students - RSVP on the Intranet. Just click on Althea Stage Combat Workshop. Alumni - RSVP by mail at events@utsc.toronto.ca or phone 416-287-7115. To get to the Leigha Lee Browne teaching lab, enter via the backstage entrance on the 2nd floor at the end of the S wing. Follow the signs up the stairs to the teaching lab. Unfortunately, due to construction activity at UTSC, the workshop is not accessible to anyone unable to climb stairs.
Pay and display parking is available in the inner lots for a flat $5 fee. Pay at the machine located just inside the parking lot entrance (Lot A) and display the ticket on your windshield. Further parking information may be found at www.utsc.utoronto.ca/parking
