Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Phenomenal Pi Beta
The Phenomenal Pi Beta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was founded on the campus of  Albany State University in June of 1950. The seven phenomenal charters members Lorraine Anderson, Louise Collins, Rosa Goodwin,  Lillie Jackson, Lois Shipman, Ollie Stuckey, and Hannah Thomas ;chose not to embrace the standards of established sororities on the university's campus. With their determination the Pi Beta Chapter was established to foster the ideals of our great organzation: service, charity, scholarship, civil and cultural endeavors, sisterhood, and FINER WOMANHOOD.  These ideals are reflected in the sorority's international programs for which its members and auxillary groups provide voluntary service to staff, community outreach programs, fund scholarships, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change.
