Historian/Lecturer
Gorman has lectured extensively throughout the country, including N.A.S.A. Headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the Museum of the American Indian in New York. She has appeared in several documentaries including the History Channel documentary, Navajo Code Talkers, and the MGM double DVD release of Windtalkers.
Gorman's lecture includes a power point presentation full of images of the Navajo reservation and the Code Talkers past and present. You will learn about the vital role the Code Talkers played in World War II as well as the pre-war social and economic conditions of the Navajo Nation. You will also learn something about the world view and philosophy of the Navajo people.
Gorman is the Project Coordinator for the Circle of Light Navajo Educational Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and inspiration of Navajo youth about their history, culture and traditions.
