ANNOUNCEMENT!

It finally happened, I lost my web hosting, not that it really matters because not many people visit here. As to what's to come well I got lots of projects line up but I'm in no hurry but I hope to have something by Summer of 2007. So,except for my Game Music Videos and Berserk videos, all of my videos are available at www.animemusicvideos.org.

WHAT IS X3'm?

The name of our group is called X3'm which is an acronym for extreme (X-three-mmm). We are hardcore individuals that like to do, what some people consider, X3'm things for fun. Different people are assigned different names depending on their specialized talents. I'm X3'm AMV meaning I specialize in Anime Music Videos and Anime. We have other people like X3'm Game and X3'm DJ but these are only titles not exactly aliases which can be changed very easily.

GUIDING PHILOSOPHY

When making a video I'm not trying to be the flashiest, the most popular or the best. I make videos as dictated by 3 principles.

1. MATCHING MUSIC TO IMAGERY

In all my videos I try to capture the essence of the anime. What I want to achieve is to bring to light certain events or feelings which stood out in my mind. To achieve this the music and images chosen must match. For example, with dark song I match it with dark anime like Hellsing.

2. STORY PLOT OR THEME

Each video I make will have a central theme or story plot. This means that each video has a distinct beginning and end. I prefer videos that convey emotions vs. videos that evoke emotion.

For example I plan to make an AMV where Kenshin gets beaten up an infinite amount of times. If I were to try to evoke emotion I would just put a lot of clips with painful images together. Instead I would make a video that conveys emotion. By trying to portray Kenshin's determination when fighting, you may feel for his pain but what is most important is the message that even though it hurts Kenshin will endure.

3. SYNC

With any AMV synching the images to the music is important. Each person has their own style but my style is dictated by two principles I listed earlier. This means I will match images that syncs with the music but in a logical progression as to convey a story plot that preserve the essence of the anime. That might sound confusing but download some of my videos and hopefully that'll explain everything.

My ultimate goal is to make a video with soul or unique identity such that when you hear the music you'll automatically think of that video.
