Welcome Brothers and Sisters to the temporary aaron and Mordechai site!
'aaron and Mordechai' began life, as many bands do, after a drunken night out in New York City. Two friends, Lennard and Ziggy, sat the next morning trying to piece together the events of the previous evenings escapades. As they did this, Zig realized he hadn't written a song in the key of F for a while, so he started picking a little phrase as they joked about the vast number of Belgian beers they consumed...it sounded strangely satisfying...So they started improvising nonsense lyrics about the dire state of the music that had been played in the bar the night before, flung in some harmonies and a Kylie Minogue sample and within 15 minutes, 'Kylie' was born.
They were left hungry and wanting more. So they got in touch with Sylvia, a friend of theirs whom they knew to play the electric violin. Zig expected that she would be able to add a little phrase here and there to some of his older songs to spruce them up a tad but once they first started to jam together, it became apparent very quickly that they were giving birth to something very new, unexpected and exciting.
Thus, 'aaron and Mordechai' came punching and kicking into existence.
Lee joined the band about 4 months later and added some rhythm and soul to the proceedings as the band goes boldly forward into '05.
