We strolled down to the beach, hand in hand. I still could not believe that I was headed to the beach in the winter. What was more unbelievable was the fact that I was heading there with the most amazing guy in the entire world, I was sure. How did I ever get so lucky? My entire life, I was always dealt the horrible hand, but now, I guess things were finally starting to look up for me. I won the freaking lottery, and now I had this amazing guy. I never once thought I would end up being with a celebrity. Oddly though, his celeb status didn't mean a thing to me. After all, I was majorly attracted to him before I even knew who he was.
"Do you want to just sit down on the sand?" Zac asked, breaking through my thoughts. I hadn't even really realized that we had arrived at the beach.
"Ya, sure." I replied.
We both took our shoes off and headed down the sand. Without even discussing it, we both walked straight for the spot on the beach where we had first met. Sitting down, he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"You cold at all?" He asked.
"No, I'm fine actually." I replied. "Kind of a little warm even. I still can not comprehend the fact that this is winter."
"Well, get used to it, kid."
"If I never see snow again in my life, I will be so happy." I grinned.
"It can't be that bad." Zac responded. "I have seen snow before. It was kind of nice. I liked it."
"Everyone who doesn't live where there is snow says that. Anyone who does, though, they will tell you that it's pretty much the devil."
Zac laughed. "Why?"
"Well, it's cold, for starters. Really freaking cold. Once it gets dirty, it' horribly ugly. It prevents you from going out when you want to. You have to shovel it. With snow comes ice, and with ice comes me falling on my ass. You have to drive as if you were a hundred years old. And did I mention how cold it is? I hate the cold."
I looked at him, and he was just staring at me with a grin on his face. "You're halarious."
"It's not meant to be funny!"
"Well, it is."
I pushed him gently, and he pushed me back, then grabbed me and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist.
"You want to go for a swim?" He asked
"Sure! Why the hell not?" I stood up quickly, then sat back down.
"What's the problem?" He asked.
"What are we going to swim in?"
"Our underwear, duh!" He said jokingly, rolling his eyes.
"Fine." I said, standing back up.
"You're not even going to argue with me?" He asked, surprised.
"No." I replied, pulling my shirt over my head.
He raised an eyebrow, then stood up, following suit by taking his shirt off, then his pants. He was left, standing in his black boxers with hearts all over them.
"Nice undies." I joked, even though he looked amazing.
"Haha, shut up!" He smiled. "Let's see what you've got under your jeans!"
I pulled down my pants to reveal my lacy black boy shorts with a little pink bow on them, which matched the bra I was wearing.
"Okay..." He said. "I can't even attempt to make fun of those. You look hot!"
I smiled. "Last one to the water has to swim naked!" I yelled, getting a head start on Zac.
"Hey!" He yelled, chasing after me. "Not fair!"
He caught up to me and grabbed me from behind. He carried me the rest of the way to the water, then threw me in. I stood up, soaked, and began to splash him like crazy. He splashed back, so I attacked him, trying to drunk him under the water.
He began kissing me, mid splash, and all the playing around stopped. I kissed him back, my heart beating a million times a second. He lifted me so that my legs were wrapped around his waist, and his hands were on my butt, supporting me. I could feel through his shorts that he wanted me, and I knew that I wanted him too.
"Zac..." I muttered.
"I know..." he replied, pulling away from me a little. "I really hate this you know." he hung his lip a little, pouting.
I laughed. "You hate it? It was you're idea to wait."
"Next time I have an idea, just don't listen to me." Zac smiled, letting go of me so I could stand again.
I began swimming back to shore, which was only a few feet away. "I'm going to remember that you said that." I said with a grin.
We walked back to where our clothes were, and Zac wrapped his sweater around me like a towel. "Thanks." I said. "How are you going to dry off?"
"Guess I'm walking back home like this." He looked down at himself.
"In your underwear?" I laughed.
"Do you have a problem with that?" He asked with a smile.
"Absolutly not." I replied, looking him up and down.

"So, when are you going to meet my parents?" Zac asked. It was about three in the morning. After the beach, we headed back to Zac's house, dried off, and had been laying on his living room floor talking, ever since.
"Whenever you want me to." I replied.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Well, they are coming here in a few weeks. Do you want to meet them then?"
"Sure." I said, nodding.
"What about your parents?" He asked. "Do I get to meet them too?"
"They are all the way in Maine!" I said.
"We can go to Maine."
"Well, we're really not that close. We haven't even talked in a few years."
"A few years? Geez. I knew you weren't all that close with them, but why haven't you talked in so long?" He asked. He rolled over on to his stomach so he could look at me.
"Something happened, and it just kind of ruined my relationship with them." I explained.
"What happened?" He asked.
"I'd rather not talk about it..." I lowered my voice.
"Okay." He said." I can respect that. But, I still have to meet them some day. It's important to me. Maybe we can go down to Maine in a few months or something."
"Yeah, maybe."
Just then my cell phone rang, scaring the crap out of both of us.
"Who the hell would call you at three in the morning?" Zac asked.
"I don't know." I looked at my caller ID, then back up at him. "It's Ashleigh."
"What...?" Zac looked just as confused as I felt.
"What do you want?" I asked when I flipped the phone open.
"I just wanted to let you know that I just invited Josh to come visit. He's coming up in two days."
A giant lump formed in my throat. "You stupid bitch." I snapped, hanging up the phone.
"What the hell was that all about?" Zac asked, sitting up and staring at me. "Chloe...are you okay? What's wrong? You're pale..."
I couldn't help it, tears began to pour down my face. "I can't believe she is doing this to me!"
"What is it? Chlo, tell me." He moved in closer and put his hand on my back to reassure me.
"I guess I have to tell you about what happened with my parents and I after all." I sniffled. I was so upset, my hands were shaking.
"Please, do." He was really worried about me, I could tell. His eyes were narrowed, his forehead was scrunched up and by the way he kept looking at me.
"Well," I took a deep breath in. "When I was sixteen, I met a guy, named Josh. God, it makes me sick just to say his name."
"Go on."
"Well, we started dating. I thought he was perfect. But then one day, he just started putting me down all the time. He wouldn't stop. He always told me I was ugly, and he just made me feel horrible."
"What an asshole." Zac muttered under his breath.
"Anyway, my parents loved him. They couldn't see that he was treating me so badly, because in front of them, he acted so sweet. Then he started hitting me."
"He HIT you?" Zac looked furious.
"When my parents asked where the bruises came from, I lied, because I was afraid that if Josh knew I told them, he would hurt me even more. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore. I decided to break up with him. But, when I tried...he beat me even worse, and then he raped me." I put my head down and wiped the tears away.
"Oh my god..." I could tell that Zac didn't know what to say.
"When I threatened to call the police, it scared him. He and his best friend took off. I don't know where. I heard they moved to Bangor or something."
"Chloe, I'm so sorry..."
"There's more." I said. "After he raped me, I found out that I was pregnant. I couldn't deal with carrying his baby. A baby that was made because I was raped. I decided to get an abortion. And after, I felt so horrible. I felt like I was the most awful person in the entire world. I finally came to my parents for help. I told them about the abortion. I wanted them to be there for me, but they were so mad. They stopped talking to me. We havn't really spoken since."
I broke down again, and Zac quickly grabbed me, wrapping his arms tightly around me. "Chloe, oh my god. I am so sorry that all of this happened to you."
"It's not like it's your fault." I said.
"I know, but I feel so awful. I can't believe that asshole did that to you. And I can't believe that your parents did that to you! They should have been there when you needed them."
"Thanks." I sniffled.
"If I ever see that guy, I'm gonna tear his head off."
I tried to smile.
"I'm serious. What an asshole! He should be in Jail...but Chlo, what does all of this have to do with Ashleigh calling you."
"She invited Josh to come visit her." I gulped. Just saying those words made me want to vomit.
"Oh shit..." Zac said.
