During the first dynasties the mustache was seen in reliefs and statues but later on fashion was to shave the face and body completely, sometimes leaving a thin beard or a fake one was used. Something other than that was considered non-hiegenic. Shaving sets including tweezers and razor knives have been found in egyptian tombs dating 4,000 b.C.
