Wow! Does that look like it's spelled wrong... Anyway discussion for today this lovely 7th of December is fighting. No this is not about tips on boxing or how to get out of pins (although if anyone out there knows how - PLEASE TELL ME - because my boy Kareem is so much stronger than I am.... and its NOT FAIR!) The fights I'm talking aout are the ones where you are mad at someone because of something that you know is just their personality and you justify your own funk by saying, "they just crossed the line this time". Then you'll go days even weeks not speaking to each other just so that you're not the one to cave in and just keep acting childish anyway. And now the kicker. Once you two finally do start speaking to each other - you probably can't even recall what the heck you had been fighting about in the first place. Life would be so much better if we just learn to communicate with each other....no I don't like it when you leave your hair in the drain of the tub but complain about my cereal bowl in the sink, no I hate it when you try and take over conversations that I am having with my friends, no i really hate it when you bring up HOUSEHOLD issues in front of third parties before (even at all) you confront me on the matter - one on one! Of course there are certain people who are just too stubborn to listen to you (or situations too ubsurd to try to handle in that manner): no I really get upset when you have your gang of thugs decide to fly passenger airliners into BUILDINGS!!!! but for the most part, communication could solve many many many important issues like leaving the toilet seat up or not knocking on doors or not closing doors or....or are these things really that important?? hmmmm maybe not enough to not speak to someone who you might not get a chance to apologize to tomorrow. So - I'm sorry...there I caved first - but I do remember why we were fighting - and I do think it is something we should discuss....See there that's not so hard - so go do it!!! |
