Description | The Mother and her four evil minions are attacking the world. But the emphasis in Wild ARMs isn't on the story, but instead on its gameplay. There are more puzzles than in any other RPG I can think of! |
Plot 5/10 | The plot seems really stupid and straightforward, and it kind of is and it kind of isn't. There are plot twists, but they aren't that great. |
Characters 3/10 | There are only three playable characters in the game. They're well-developed, but so few that it's quite a letdown. |
Fun Factor 15/10 (not a typo) | The puzzles are extremely good, unlike those that we often see in RPGs. I guarantee they'll be fun. The battles are also simple and fun! You can also rename spells ^_^ |
Gameplay 10/10 | I've already told you how fun the puzzles are. The battles just use a regular battle system, where you decide all of the moves before each round. There's also a force system, which is kind of like the limit break systems we see in Final Fantasies VII and IX. But it's better ^_^ |
Replayability 4/10 | There are a few secrets you'll miss, but not too many. The story never changes, the characters stay the same, and the puzzles are already solved. It's a fun game though, so I'd reccomend waiting a few years for a replay so that you forget the puzzles ^_^ |
Graphics 8/10 | They aren't great, but they are good for such an early Playstation game. There's also an anime intro that's always fun to watch! |
Music 5/10 | The music is fun, but nothing remarkable. |
Sex Object Factor 3/10 | I suppose you could like Jack... But you're basically looking at sprites the whole time. |
Cutesy Factor 4/10 | Hanpan is cute ^_^ |
Notes | This game also allows you to copy, delete, etc. memory card files. So if you don't have a PS2, this is probably the way you're going to deal with getting more space from your cards by deleting files from rented games. |
