SHOUJO KAKUMEI UTENA/REVOLUTIONARY GIRL UTENA
| Summary | Utena is another inhabitant of a very very VERY strange world. When she was very young, a prince gave her a ring which Utena keeps to this day. She dreams of finding the prince, but for now settles on trying to be the prince by wearing a boy's uniform and such. Soon, Utena stumbles upon the duels that the members of the student council periodically hold. She finds out that these duels are for control of the Rose Bride, Anthy. Utena wins a duel, and protects Anthy. Genre: shoujo. |
| Plot | Very good, but very confusing. You have to realize that the world of Utena is extremely weird, or all you'll be doing is complaining about how Anthy doesn't just ditch the whole Rose Bride thing, etc. |
| Characters | Almost every character has a mental problem. Whether that means that they're more interesting or a pain to watch is up to you. |
| Humor | There's some humor, but not a lot. |
| Animation | I personally don't like the way the eyes are drawn in Utena... They make the characters look even weirder than they already are... o_O |
| Music | Ugh. I hate the Apocalypse music, especially how they play it before every single duel with the same damn animation. I also don't like any of the duel music, but at least the duels aren't always exactly the same. |
| Japanese voices and subtitles | Except for Miki's, all of the voices are suitable. Miki's made me so sure he was a girl. |
| Dubbed voices | I didn't watch this dubbed. |
| Bishounen factor | A lot of people like Touga... I think he kinda has a lot of hair... |
| Cutesy factor | The puppet girls and Wakaba are kinda cute. So's Chuchu! ^_^ |
