Description | This is a game with two distinct parts. The first half of the game, which is bright and cheery, and the second half of the game, which is darker. The battle system is ATB and there is experience. The magicite system of learning magic involves equipping one magicite which teaches certain spells as you fight battles.

Plot 9/10 | The plot is more complex than its predecessors, but not so much that you have to sit there for long periods of story. I'd say it's a perfect balance |
Characters 9/10 | Fourteen characters is a very good number. They're all well-developed for their time (and not even so bad in comparison to later games) and there's a pretty good variety. |
Fun Factor 10/10 | This game is lots of fun. It's got a working battle system, it's nice and simple, it has a few little mini games, etc |
Gameplay 9/10 | It's just a simple system- one that we know doesn't have serious flaws. |
Replayability 7/10 | There are lots of secrets you'd probably miss the first time. The story can't really change, but it's always fun to play a fun game again! |
Graphics 7/10 | For an old game, the graphics are great! There is a PSX rerelease, as part of Final Fantasy Anthology with a CG intro and ending. |
Music 9/10 | Of all of the Final Fantasies, I'd say this game has the best soundtrack. |
Sex Object Factor 1/10 | Nobody is attracted to a little icon. |
Cutesy Factor 9/10 | Relm and Mog are sooooooooo cute! |
