VISION OF ESCAFLOWNE

SummaryHitomi is a girl from Earth who reads Tarot, who gets taken away by a boy with angels' wings. There, she learns of a group of people whose aim is to get rid of evil by destroying and rebuilding the world. Genre: mecha.
PlotA very good plot, full of plotting and twists.
CharactersThe characters are all very real and well developed. But I found Dilandu incredibly annoying.
HumorHumor definitely isn't the focus of Escaflowne, but it is present.
AnimationThe noses look really weird. I'm sorry, but that kinda takes a lot out of it. I'm talking really messed up here.
MusicWords in BGMs leads to weird, un-background-y BGMs. Otherwise, the BGMs were fitting.
Japanese voices and subtitlesThe voices themselves were good, but the subtitles were not. During the first two episodes, the translation was so terrible that I might even be able to do better. Even when the translations improved, the subtitles were badly timed so that sometimes there would be a subtitle on for half a second, and the next for thirty seconds. Also, they sometimes typed an "l" instead of an "I". I love the font, though!
Dubbed voicesI didn't watch this dubbed.
Bishounen factorVan is cool. Wings, wai!
Cutesy factorMerle's absolutely adorable!
