EL HAZARD: THE MAGNIFICENT WORLD

SummaryMakoto is a boy who succeeds in school- more than Jinnai, a psychotic freak who decides that Makoto is his mortal enemy because of this. But Makoto, Jinnai, Jinnai's sister Nanami, and a teacher of theirs, Fujisawa-sensei, are taken to El Hazard. There's a war between El Hazard and the Bugrom- and El Hazard needs Makoto's help... Which involves him dressing like the princess. Not only that, but Makoto has the ability to manipulate machines, including the goddess Ifurita. Genre: shounen/comedy.
PlotIt was OK, but the plot isn't the main focus of El Hazard.
CharactersThe characters, except for evil Jinnai, are bright, cheerful, and alive. The more minor characters, like Afura have so little emphasis on them that they have no personalities whatsoever, though.
HumorEl Hazard is full of jokes, from Alielle mistaking crossdressed Makoto for her lover Fatura to Nanami and Shayla-Shayla fighting over who gets Makoto.
AnimationPretty good animation, but nothing remarkable.
MusicM'eh, I didn't care too much for El Hazard's music. Maybe I was too busy laughing to notice it...?
Japanese voices and subtitlesJinnai... *shudder* Other than his annoying laugh, the voices are good.
Dubbed voicesI didn't watch this dubbed.
Bishounen factorSorry, not in El Hazard.
Cutesy factorMakoto has a cat that shields him! Alielle looks like she's about 5! Of course El Hazard is cute!
