Summary | At first glance, Mikage Aya is just another 16-year-old living in modern-day Tokyo with her twin brother Aki. But she is actually a decendant of the angel Ceres. Throughout the generations of the Mikage family, Ceres comes back in some women, and the Mikage who forced her to marry him in some men. When Ceres appears in a woman, that woman is killed. It just so happens that Ceres comes back in Aya and the first Mikage in Aki. Aya managed to escape with her life, but she must live fleeing from her family. To complicate matters more, the Mikage are working on a project involving the gene that causes Aya to be an angel that Aya and the friends she finds after her sixteenth birthday must stop. Genre: shoujo/romance. |
Plot | Very well done. A lot more complex and well-written than my summary, hehe ^_^ |
Characters | Absolutely wonderful- All of the characters are very real. (OK, maybe not Mrs. Q, but that's because she's comic releif) |
Humor | Mrs. Q is hilarious! ^_^ There's a good amount of humor to balance the serious plot. |
Animation | It's Watase Yuu. Of course the animation is good. |
Music | The music always fits the situation. Not to mention, both the intro and ending songs are spectacular. |
Japanese voices and subtitles | I really like Aya's voice. I didn't really notice any of the other voices, which is a good thing b/c that means that there were no flaws for me to notice. Nothing in the subtitles annoyed me. |
Dubbed voices | I didn't watch this dubbed. |
Bishounen factor | Aki's hot, Yuuhi's hot, Tooya's hot. One of the best anime for guy-watchers ^_^ |
Cutesy factor | Shota and Chidori are just plain adorable ^_^ Shota is a little kid, and Chidori looks like one ^_^ |
Notes | The manga artist is the one and only Watase Yuu, who also did Fushigi Yuugi. This is rated 16 and up (or was it 13 and up?) for a reason. If you're young, there's plenty more good anime that's acceptable for you. This review is based only on the first twelve episodes. |
