FABRICATION OF AN AIRPLANE PROPELLER.
60" diameter  53 Pitch

Six pieces of 1x8 pine are laminated together with marine grade epoxy to glue the pieces together. I made wood clamps out of 2x4's cut 12" long and drilled on a drill press using a jig so all the holes would line up for the threaded rod. Plastic was used between the wood and the 2x4 clamps so it wouldn't stick.

Pine wood was chosen with little to no knots in the wood. This is a dry fit before the final gluing with marine grade epoxy.  The 7.25 aluminum propeller mounting hub is located in the center of the wood blank.

Still Drying.
