This is the largest fish we have at about 3in. and is the king of the tank. It likes to graze on the algae and eats any food I've ever fed (frozen, fresh, flakes, and live). We have had this fish since the summer of '98, and it is truly a beauty to have.

It is with deepest sorry that we have to post the passing of one of our most beloved tank inhabitants. A fish we called friend. A fish without a name but with the genuine personality that makes a most treasured memory. Our precious coral beauty... our tank is empty without you. We hope that we will meet again at that rainbow bridge and find you swimming in that big fish tank in the sky. We will always remember you, and we miss you. Summer of '98 to Feb. of 2000.

This is my wife's fish, and is the funnest one to watch. It never stops moving, and always darts in and out of holes in the rocks (some so small you wouldn't think it would fit). This fish has been with us since the fall of '98, and also eats anything I feed it. It is approx. 1.5in. long.

Two percula clowns two percula clowns

These two fish we bought at differant times in the fall of '98 and the spring of '99, but they quickly became friends and are never too far apart. They are both about 1.5in. long and are great eaters. The darker of the two we fondly call * "perc buddy" because when I have my hand in the water it is right there swimming in and out of my fingers. Sometimes even biting (OUCH!) and pulling at the hair on the back of my hand, so I have to stop whatever I'm in there to do and fight with it. I think it really likes trying to run me out of the tank.

Two-stripe damsel two two-stripe damsels

These two fish are the last fish bought. We have only had them since Oct. of '99. They are the smallest of our fish at about 1/2 - 3/4 in. long. They spend a lot of their time chasing each other in and out of the rocks. Their colors allow them to blend in with the rocks and they use this to hide.

The feather duster we bought in Nov. '99. When we picked it out at the fish store, we watched all of them for a while and picked this one because it wasn't shy when fish swam by. It is almost always out and showing it's beauty.

I added a cleaner shrimp on Dec. 3rd '99. It was a juvenile and has already doubled in size. I feel that the cleaner shrimp is a must-have for the health of the fish. They eat parisites off of the fish, but unlike the cleaner wrasse they will also eat other foods as well as scavage. I hope to add a second one soon, so I can have a mini "cleaner station" in my tank.

We also have several blue legged and red legged hermit crabs(one can be seen in the pic. of the coral beauty above). We also have an est. 50 or so top hat snails(due to multiplying).

On Dec. 12th '99 I added two pieces of live rock that had macro-algae growing on them. It adds color as well as helps with nitrate control, and also a healthy snack for the fish. One rock is already cleaned of it's macro-algae, But it also has a small cluster of about 40-50 polyps on it that are doing great.
