Hhhmm. Yes, that is I. Cute, huh? *rolls her eyes* Read on, then...

Since you want to know about me, here goes. My name is Cari, and I was born and raised in Indiana. (Sounds exciting, huh?) I was raised in a Catholic-Christian home, and even attended Christian private schools from 4th grade through my freshman year of high school. I've been a practicing Wiccan for five years, and I've always practiced solitary, although I do connect, study, and network with other Wiccans in my area. I left Christianity after a couple years of trying to believe in Jesus and hell so hard that I would cry at night. I couldn't force myself to believe a religion that I felt was contradictory and unnecessary. I've never been closer to God than I am now; leaving Christianity and becoming Wiccan was the best choice I ever made for myself.

Beyond the religious side of things, I'm a very...uh...interesting person. I love to write (poetry, fantasy, short stories, chapter novels, songs, etc). I dream of being some famous writer living in a little hideaway in England or Ireland or somewhere, but I'll probably end up as a teacher in the public school system. I'd love to be a teacher, though whether I'll teach computer programming, english, or history, I don't know yet.

I'm also a big fan of music. I love almost everything, since I believe that having a wide range of musical likes signals an open mind. My favorite band is Hanson (though I can't stand the preppy, high-pitched squealing girls at concerts...ick!). I'm also a big fan of Michelle Branch, Nelly (the rapper), Nelly Furtado, DMX, Jennier Lopez, Nine Days, Vertical Horizon, Hole, The Calling, Enya, Charlotte Church, Three Doors Down, Blink 182, the Supremes, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, etc, etc. I LOVE my music. I swear, music is an addiction.

I'm also very open-minded and independent. I'll speak my mind, and I don't let people walk over me, anymore at least. I did in middle school because I was shy, but I realized pretty quick that I had to find a balance of being independent, standing up for myself, while still being someone that people saw as nice and trust-worthy, not bitchy and backstabbing.

I kept this short and sweet, because *I* am not the main attraction of this page. If there's anything else you'd like to know, e-mail me!
