Eponymous

This is the satisfactory "hits" retrospective album. It was released by IRS after R.E.M. had left to Warner Bros. The band helped to make this album by adding sleeve notes, and Michael designed the cover design. Eponymous is sub-titled "File under grain" to draw attention to famine and hunger. The album features the song Romance, which isn't found on other albums, along with the original versions of Radio free Europe, and Gardening at night, and a different mix of Finest worksong. Eponymous was released less than a month before the release of Green.
