A virtous compost being a compendium of oddities collare, and B-sides compiled. IRS probably created this album to stem the growing amount of R.E.M. bootlegs. It's an enjoyable mixture and intelligently compiled by Peter, who also provided self-deprecatingly witty sleeve notes. The recording quality varies much, and some songs were made straight to two-track. Peter:"Listening to this album should be like browsing through a junkshop."
