1:30 Carly's room

Jason sits in a chair watching her.

One more half hour until she wakes up he thought.

he looked at her and saw he she was begining to stir.

Oh well doctors are always off, he thought

-her eyes flutterd open, and loked atound untill the made contact with his.

-he leaned foward and took her hand

Jason: hi, Carly. How are you feeling?

Carly: Jason?( her voice is low . she tries to sit up , but it hurts too much.)
AHHH!

Jason: Carly? It'll be alright. Here, look you don't have to move. Just push
this button, see? it makes the bed rise for you.

Carly: (she begins to cry) it hurts. it hurts a lot. "OH JASON!!!" she cried as
she broke into sobs.

Jason: Honey? I'm right here. I'm here baby. Nothing will ever hurt you
again. I won't let it. understand?(he reached out and tucked a stray piece of
hair behind her ear.

-Alan walks in

Alan: Carly? I see your up. Good. We're just gonna run a few tests. o.k.
honey? Jason, you can wait outside

Jason: Carly, I'll be right outside.

(he leaves)

Alan: Well Carly, how are you feeling?

Carly: not great.

Alan: O.k. I just want to run some tests...........

Scene 2: Outside Carly's room

- a crowd has already begun to gather, includding Garcia and Taggert

-Alan walks out

Jason: How is she?

Alan: Well, she's still in a LOT of paib, but beside that she's much better. I
would say the soreness will die down in 2 days and in three she'll be
released, but she'll need bed rest and lots of attention.

Taggert: Can we see her now?

Alan: Well, she requested no visitors, but yeah go a head

-as they are about to open the door, Jason's arm flies in front of it.

Jason: Don't you dare upset her. Ishe wants you to, you will leave!

-they walk in

Taggert: Hello Mrs.Jacks.

Garcia: Hello

Taggert: we just have a few questions

- Carly remains silent, not making any eye contact

Taggert: Well, um...how did this happen?

Carly: It was an accident.

Garcia: Some accident.

Taggert: Mrs. Jacks , bruises like that aren't a result of an accient. Especially
since some are old and some are new. Who hits you Mrs. Jacks? Garcia:
Please ,we only want to help.

Taggert: Was it your husband?

-Carly begins to cry.

- unaware to the cops Jason has left the door slightly open, so he can hear.
Thye gropu stands around, listening.

Taggert: Come on lady, whats the matter. Are you afraid he'll hit you again?
What?? Just answer our questions

-Carly begins sobbing hysterically. She's getting very loud. Everyone outside
hears her.

Taggert: COME ON!!!!!!

Carly: Get out!!!( very softly)

Taggert: please just answer..

Carly: PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! Leave me alone, leave me alone ( she
continually repeats this while crying.

- Jason barges in,

Jason: OUT!! I said out, leave her alone with your stupid questions

-Carly is now just sobbing

-they leave, the group is huddled in the door way watching a sobbing Carly.

Jason: Carly? Carly are you..

Carly: Go AWAY!!! I don't want to see you!!!!! GO AWAY!!!!

-they all leave

Alan wanders up

Bobbie: Alan she's so upset and..

Alan: I'm going in ( he returns shortly)

She is very upset, I gave her another drug. She won't see anyone. Just go
home and come back tommorrow, 7:00am.

-everone leaves except Jason and Robin.

Robin: Jase, you coming?

Jason: No, I'm gonna stay the nite.

Robin: Jase, u need to sleep.

Jason: NO!! I won't leave her alone!!

Robin: But you'll leave me alone? Jase I miss ou, I'm so lonely.

Jason: God Robin, look at her, she needs me more than you do. I won't
make her second choice this time. She needs me. I'm staying.

Robin: Fine, I'll see you tommorrow. ( she leaves)

Jason goes in Carly's room.

Jason: ( he takes a sleeping Carly's hand) Carly? I know you said no visitors,
but I won't leave you. never again. I love you.
 

Love Hurts - Chapter 6

Carly's hospital room. Carly is dreaming... her dream is of an event
that happened a bit back..........

Carly is sitting on the couch reading a magazine in the Penthouse. Jason
walks in.

Carly: Oh , Hi Jason.

Jason: Carly we need to talk.

Carly: alright. shoot.

Jason: Carly, it's just well, me and Robin have been getting back together..

Carly: I know. And I think it's great. Me and Robin, we're getting along a
little better, you know? Anyway as long as you'r happy..

Jason: I am happy Carly, it's just, well, Robin doesn't like us living together,
and I won't mess up with her again, so..

Carly: ( trying not to show how much it hurts) so you want me and Michael
to move out.

Jason: Yeah, well , I'll pay

Carly: ( She turns away so he won't see the tears.) No biggy. You know
what I gotta go. I'll be back soon. ( shre runs out)

Next flashback:

Carly runs into Jax's arms, she tells him Jason told her to leave.He tells her
he wants to marry her, they get married, Jason never see's her or Michael
anymore. He even decides that it would e best if Michael didn't think of him
as a father.

Next Carly sees Jax hitting her

Back to reality, in Carly's room

- carly begins to stir. She wakes up with a start. Jason is there.

Carly: Jason?

Jason: Yeah. It's me, I'm here.

Carly: No, you told me to leave...(she is getting confused) Where am....Oh
yeah.

Jason: Carly? Are you alright?

Carly:I..I was dreaming( she stammered) I got confused, I remember now.

Jason: How do you feel?

Carly: Better.

Jason: Yeah? Well, I thought you might be up for visitors today. Huh?
Everyone has been dieng to see you.

Carly: really?

Jason: yeah. Of course.

Carly: Michael. How's Michael?

Jason: Fine. He's been staying with Brenda and Sonny.

Carly: Oh good.

Jason: Carly? When you get released..

Carly: released? when am I getting released?

Jason: Well, um.. tommorrow. Everyone discussed it, and well, we think it
would be best if you stayed with Sonny and Brenda..

Carly: JAX!!

Jason: What? Jax?

Carly: Have you talked to him?

Jason: No. Not lately. Luckily. Why?

Carly: I was just wondering. ( she looks off) He's probably on his business
trip. Won't be back for another 3 1/2weeks ............

Jason: Carly?

Carly: Jase? Why don't I just go home. With Michael.

Jason: No way Carly. You need to be taken care of .

Carly: We'd be fine, and soon Jax would be home and......

Jason: That is not what I meant when I said " taken care of"

Carly: Jase, listen Jax..

Jason: I don't care about JAX!!! All that matters is YOU!!!! Understand?

Carly: Yeah. I guess

Jason: Sonny & Brenda's?

Carly: I don't want to bother them.

Jason: You won't. They want you. PlEASE Carly.. Don't fight this.

Um.well...... Can we discuss it later?

Jason: Yeah, but WE WILL discuss it!!! CORRECT?? ( Carly nods,
releived)Can I send everyone in? They really want to see you.

Carly: sure.

Jason: alright, I'll go get them. ( he exits)

Scene 2: Outside Carly's room.

- a small crowd has gathered including: Bobbie, Luke, Laura, Lucky,
Elizabeth,and Sonny

Jason comes out of Carlys room

Bobbie: Well?

Jason: She's doing a lot better. Plus she has agreed to see people.

Sonny: Great!! Because Bren. and Robin are on their way with Michael.
Who, by the way, is dying to see his mommy!!!!!

Bobbie: I think I'll go in. I'll keep it short ( She walks in. )

Jason wanders to the side remembering Carly's words when she woke up:
"you told me to leave." What did she mean? He wonders.

Scene 3: Carly's room

Bobbie: Carly? Hi.

Carly: Hi.

Bobbie: How are you feeling?

Carly: Better.

Bobbie: Yeah? Good. Oh Carly I was so worried.

Carly: You were?

Bobbie: Of course, Your my daughter, and...I love you.

Carly: You do?

Bobbie: Yeah Carly ( she begins to cry)

Carly: ( Begining to cry) I love you too, Bobbie. ( Bobbie reaches over and
hugs her)

Bobbie:Carly? Who did this to you? Was it Jax? ( Carly begins to cry
harder) It's alright. It's alright.

Carly: Yes.

Bobbie: Yes?

Carly: Yes, it was Jax. He hit me.

Bobbie: Carly? Was this the first time?

Carly: No ( she cries some more into Bobies arms)

Scene 4: Outside Bobies room.The crowd is still out there

Bobbie comes in

Bobbie: She is much better. ( everyone lets out a sigh of relief) She is sitting
up and talking. AND revealing information.

Lucky: Did she admit to Jax hitting her?

Bobbie: yeah.

Sonny: I'm going in. Jase come with me.

Jason: Sure

Scene 5: Carlys room

Sonny: Carly?

Carly: Hi Sonny. Jason

Jason: Hey.

Sonny: Glad to see you feeling better.

Carly: Yeah....

Sonny: Michaels been asking for you.

Carly: (brightning up) yeah?

Sonny: Yeah. You'll see him, in a bit, but first we need to talk. ( He sits in the
chair next to the bed. Jason stands a little behind him.

Carly: talk?

Sonny: Yeah. Well I'm sure that you are aware that you will be released
tomorrow?

Carly: yeah

Sonny: well, you have a life ahead of you. what do you plan to do?

Carly: "Well, um....I don't know. What do you mean?

Sonny: Well I want to know what you plan to do with your life.

Carly: Same things I did before. Be a housewife I guess.

Sonny: To who? JAX??? Must I remind you, that he IS the reason you're
here.

Carly: What else am I suppose to do.

Sonny: Well, for starters, you're moving in with Brenda and me.

Carly: I don't know. I don't want to impose.

Sonny: Well, than I'll tell you something. ( he leans foward and says softly..)
You won't be. You're moving in. I don't want to sound like an ass Carly, but
you have no choice.

Carly: O.K., and in three weeks....

Jason: Three WEEKS!!! What?? You go back to him?

Carly: Well YES!! I...I...I have to (she says and than breaks into tears.)

Sonny: Sweetie? Why do you have to?

Carly: ( She lokks at him) He'll kill us...he'll be so mad...he'll he'll

Jason: ( he runs to the bed , sits down and envelopes her in his arms. He
smoothes her hair and rubs her back.) Shhh...baby, it's alright. Listen...the
idea is that you'll be safe now. He won't ever hurt you again.

Carly: Yes, yes he will, she sobbed into his shouders

Brenda: Knock, Knock(entering with Michael and Robin. Jason lets Carly
out of his embrace as she wiped her tears) Look who came to visit..

Michael: MOMMY!! ( He runs to the bed and Jason helped him up, while
he slid off Carly huged Micheal tight)

Carly: Oh baby, I've missed you.

- A crowd has developed at the door.

Sonny: Why don't we give them some private time?

they all leave and shut the door.

Love Hurts - Chapter 7

-- That night - Robin and Jason's house

-Jason and Robin just came home

-Robin has been very quiet

Jason: (hanging up his jacket) What's up with you?

Robin: Hmmm.. let's see. Maybe the fact that my husband for the past few
days has been ignoring me, traeting me like nothing while he tended to
another woman. Oh!! Yeah, also the fact that he was EMBRACING this
woman!!!!!

Jason: DAMNITT ROBIN!!!! She was ABUSED by her husband. She was
my bEST FRIEND!! Oh wait, I'm sorry now that I'm Robin's HUSBAND ,I
don't get to be there for Carly??? When she is hurt, scared and
CONFUSED!!!!

Robin: Carly, is my friend too..

Jason: REALLY?? Well, I would've NEVER known it!!!

Robin: Don't turn this on ME!! I am your wife!!!

Jason: And she is MY friend, BEST driend. Don't you dare try to make me
make her second choice!!!

Robin: I'd hate to upset you Jason, but she IS second choice. I AM first
choice. Or at least, that's the way it should be. ( Jason doesn't answer) Not
staying with her tonite?

Jason: Yes, I am, I'm just taking a shower.

Robin: Don't let me make you late.

Jason: Don't worrry, you won't.

Scene 2

Next day Carly's room.

Jason is sitting by Carly's bed asleep. Carly wakes up

Carly: mmmm.

Jason: ( his eyes pop open) Carls?

Carly: Carls? ( she laughs) a new nick name?

Jason: ( laughing too) Yeah, something like that. How are you?

carly: Fine.

Jason: excited?

Carly: Um.... yes .............and no.

Jason: Yes and no?

Carly:yeah, yes, because the food sucks, i hate all the machines, everyone
watching me, lieing down all the time, and I miss Michael, but.....

Jason: Jax?

Carly: Yeah, he'll be back in around three weeks. I don't know what to do.

Jason: Well, that's kinda easy Carly. ( she looks at him , surprised and
curious.) You just will get a divorce.

Carly: But....

Jason: No buts about it Carly. Sonny and me, we'll protect you. You'll be
safe. We'll get you good lawyers.

Carly: But..

Jason: Do you want to be with him?

Carly: Huh?

Jason: Do you want to be with him? Do you love him?

Carly: Um...

Jason: yes or no.

Carly: no, i guess

Jason: Well,don't worry, I know you don't. I just wanted you to admit it.

Carly: Did you stay all nite?

Jason: Something like that. Bren will be here soon. She'll be bringing you
clothes and stuff.

Carly: Where's a mirror?

Jason: Huh?

Carly: A mirror. I want to myself

Jason: There's one in the bathroom, but....

Carly: Help me out.

Jason: No wait, look, thee one hanging over there. ( he gets it and brings it to
her. She stares at herself.)

Carly: Look at me. My face is all beat up. Look what he did to me Jase.
Look. ( she begins to cry)

Jason: I think you look beautiful.

Carly: yah ,right.

Jason: I can't lie, remember?

Carly: ( she looks at him. She realizes that he can't lie.) He really thinks I'm
beautiful?- she wondered

Brenda enters with a big bag.

Brenda: Hey Carly. Ready for the big day?

Carly: yeah, I guess.

Brenda: Well, you have half an hour to get ready before Sonny shows up.
Here. ( she hands Carly the bag)

- Carly begins to get out of bed. It is difficult for her and Jason takes her by
the arm and helps her to the bathroom. Once inside he looks to Brenda.

Brenda: Is she gonna be o.k.?

Jason: Yeah, one we get her away from Jax.

Brenda: yeah I guess. Do you think she loves him?

Jason: No.

Brenda: How do you know?

Jason: she told me.

Brenda: yeah, but..

Jason: trust me , she doesn't.

- Brenda eyes him curiosly

-Carly emerges, fully dressed, her hair brushed and with some make-up, she
looks better, but she still has a lot of bruises.

Brenda: You look great. Now, lets see, Sonny brought back all your flowers
and stuff yesterday...so all we need to do is go check you out.

Jason: ( he takes her am and leads her back to the bed) Carly, you rest, k?
I'll go get the whole check out thing started.

Carly: Alright. ( she stares at him as he leaves, remembering his words " I
think you look beautiful.")

Scene 3

PH

Reynaldo opens the door as Sonny comes in with Carly suitcase, Brenda
runs in a head of Jason who is carrying Carly, who is still too wek to walk.
Brenda gets to the couch and gets it ready for Carly as Jason plops her
down.

Carly: I hate to be so much trouble.

Sonny: Nonsense.

Brenda: Oh, be quiet and enjoy it!!! ( she laughed) We'll pamper you for a
bit, than when you're feeling up to it, we'll shop!!!

Carly: ( she laughs a liitle) Sounds like fun. Where's Micheal?

Sonny: The park. He should be home in an hour or so.

Carly: good.

Brenda: I'm going to make tea. ( she goes into the ketchin)

Sonny: Carly? How are you doing?

Carly: Fine.

Sonny: Well, I'll let you rest in a minute. First, I just need you to sign these
papers. ( he hands here some papers and a pen)

Carly: What are they? she asked as she took them.

Sonny: Divorce papers.

Carly: WHAT?? Oh, yeah um.........sure, right...yeah. I'll look at them later. (
she puts them on the table)

Sonny: Carly, I assure you that they are fine. All they say is you want a
divorce. Whatever money you had when you started and full custody of
Michael.( he picks up the paper and hands them to her)

Carly: Wel, um.it's just that, well...

Sonny: Yes?

Carly: (she takes a deap breath. As she exhales, the words come rushing
out)I don't know if I want a divorce.

Jason: Carly. I do NOT care. Sign the god damn papers, NOW!!!

Carly: But, um...

Jason: Carly, we already went over this. You don't love him and we WON'T
let you be with him.

Carly: I don't WANT to be with him.

Jason: Good!! Than sign.

Carly: but...

Sonny: Carly? Are you scared??

Carly: ( here eyes welled up, suddenly it came out, the tears the sobs)Yes!!
she cried, " I don't want him to hurt me. If I leave him, he will, I'm so scared.

Jason sat next to her, took her her head in his hands and loked right at her.

Jason: Sonny, me, we won't let anything hurt you or Michael. Understand? (
she nods) Good, than sign the papers.

-he released her face as she picked up the pen and signed.

Jason smiled at her, and she smiled through his tears, Sonny looked at them,
with a sad expression. He knew there were more tuff times ahead. Brenda
walked in, she walked over to him, and they looked on.
