Jason followed her, up the stairs. She ran into Bobbie & Jerrys room and
slammed the door and locked it. She turned, and leaned her back against it
as she sunk to the floor sobbing.

Jason banged on the door screaming " NO!! You can't DO this to me!!!
Baby!!! CAROLINE!!!! I need you!"

She could hear the tears in his voice and realized she'd only seen him cry
once before. It was when Lily was born. She held her in her arms and
looked at Jason. They had both cried. This flashback only made Carolines
sobs louder and heavier.

Jason heared them and became even more upset he kicked the door and
yelled: "CAROLINE!!! We're MARRIED!! If not for me, do it for our
CHILDREN!!! Michael, LILLY!!!! They want us together. Do it for them!"

Jason felt a strong arm turn him around and Jason saw Jerry, Jax and Luke
standing there. Bobbie was there too crying. She walked over and slapped
Jason. "How DARE you! Using the children to make her feel GUILTY!!!
Were YOU thinking of the children while you were having SEX with
ROBIN?"

"This has nothing yo do with you." He turned back to the door not caring that
they were there or that the rest of them were at the bottom of the stairs
listening. He only cared about Catoline.

"CAROLINE!!" He yelled banging and kicking the door. "Please baby. I'm
so sorry! Please let me in so we can talk. Just TALK TO me!!!" He fell
against the door, crying hard now with barley any energy left. Brethlessly he
said "You're breaking me Caroline. You're breaking me."

They all heared Carolines hysterical sobs and Luke wouldn't let this go any
further. He pulled Jason from the door and said "OUT!"

"GO AWAY LUKE!! This Doesn't concern you!"

"That's my niece in there. Now go JASON!"

Jason didn't move so Luke and Jerry shoved him from the door and forced
him down the stairs. As he walked by the little audence a shiny object caught
his attention in the dining room. He walked in and picked up the ring. He
slowly kissed it and stood up."I'm not leaving without her."

He turned and saw everyone staring at him. Jerry walked up to him and said
"Yes you are. That's MY Step-daughter up there. You already broke her
heart, NOW GO!!"

Jason realized he had no chance of talking to her at the moment so he
walked towards the door. As he stepped outside he turned around to see
Bobbie. "I'll pick up the kids from school. Don't GO NEAR them. All three
of them will be staying here tonight!!" With that she slammed the door.

Jason stood there and slowly walked to the limo that waited for him, stealing
one last glance at the house. Once inside he broke into sobs and pressed his
hand up to the window as the limo pulled away from the house. Jason turned
to watch the house as it got further and further away from him!
Ever After - Chapter 4

After hours of driving around Jason sullenly walked back into the Pentouse.
He was surprised to see Robin sitting on the couch, wearing his shirt and
nothing else. "Robin. What are you doing here?" Jason asked emotionless
while he rubbed his swollen red eyes.

"Waiting for you." She said with a smile as she stood up and began to
unbotton her shirt. "I thought we could pick up whrere we left off." she threw
the shirt to the floor and stood naked in front of Jason. She walked over him
and reached out to touch his face.

Jason pushed her hand away and walked over to the chair that she had
thrown her clothes onto. He picked up the clothes and threw them at her.
"Get dressed and leave. I never want to see you again. We had our time. It's
over now. I LOVE Caroline, I NEED Caroline. I BREATHE Caroline. She
and my two children are my life."

"You're wrong Jason." Robin began she she put on her jacket, but nothing
else. "You, don't understand..."

"NO!!" Jason yelled. "You don't understand." Jason sat on the couch and put
his head in his hands. "I can't deal with you Robin. I look at you and feel
nothing. Move on and get out."

With that Robin ran out of the Penthouse in tears.

After a few minutes Jason went to the door and spoke quietly to Renaldo. " I
want Lilly's, Michael's, and Caroline's guards to stay with them." Renaldo
nodded "What have they done so far, today?" He asked quietly

Renaldo had pity in his voice as he replied. "Mr. and Mrs. Jacks picked up
the kids and took them to Bobbie's house. Everyone but Jax, Jerry, Bobbie
and Brenda left. Caroline's still there."

Jason nodded and went back into the house. Slowly he walked up the stairs
into his and Caroline's bedroom. He walked over to her vanity, and picked
up her perfume bottle. he sprayed some, into the air and inhaled it. He set the
bottle down and walked over to the closet. He opened the door and began
searching through the clothing until he came to the dress. Their dress. It was
blood red and had a low neck line. At the thighs the dress looked as though
it had been shredded. It was cut into strands that fell to her ankels. It was
tight and clingy and Caroline looked like a million dollars in it.

They had bought it in a very stylish and expensive Italian boutique on their
honeymoon in Rome. Jason remembered how Caroline had emerged from
the dressing room, squealing with delight, and how she had walked
seductivley toward Jason, who had picked her up and spun her around. She
had worn the dress right out of the store and they had gone to dinner and
than on a boat ride, and then dancing in the streets of Italy while musicans
played for them, followed by a night of passionate love making.

The dress soon became a favorite. Caroline wore it to their first Nurses Ball
as husband and Wife. She wore it to tell Jason good news, or to cheer him
up if he was down. Jason remember her telling him that she was pregnent in
that dress. Memories flooded Jasons head as he took the dress off the
hanger. He walked to the window and looked out. The sun was setting.He
hugged the dress to his chest and lifted the material to his cheek as a single
tear fell down his cheek and onto the dress. Burying his face into the material
he bega to sob. Unyill he lifted huis head and whispered. "I'm gonna get you
back Caroline."

The Brownstone

Caroline had stayed locked in that room all day, sobbing on the bed. Except
for that one fateful phone call. It was at 3:15 when she heared Michael &
Lilly. Hearing them made her heart break as she thought of the sad news she
had to tell them. She stayed, sobbing, in that bed for 2 hours and a half
hours. Finnaly she looked down at her ring. Her engagement ring. She hadn't
thrown it with the wedding band. It was a thin gold band. A huge diamond
was surronded by smaller blue diamonds. She remembered how he had
proposed.

It was a Sunday afternoon, in Maui Hawaii. Jason had taken her their for a
week, while Michael had stayed with Bobbie. It was their last night their.
Jason had taken her up to a cliff overlooking the ocean. He had left the
guards behind. They had a picnic of pizza and champaign. He had proposed
to her right there,just as the sun was setting, and for the first time told her he
loved her. She said yes and they had made love on the cliff. They slept in
each others arms under the stars that night.

She walked to the window and looked out. The Sun was setting, it looked
just like the sun set when he had proposed. She shook her head, trying to
shake the memories from her head. She took a deep breath and walked to
the bathroom, to wash her face. Slowly she walked to the door and
unlocked it and stepped into the hall.

She slowly decended down the stairs and walked into the living room. She
saw Lilly was kneeling in front of the coffee table and coloring. Bobbie and
Jerry and Brenda sat behind her on the couch. They were discussing
Caroline and Jason. Michael was laying on the carpet doing his HW. Jax
was laying next to him, helping him with his math. Everyone looked up when
Caroline came in. Lilly ran to her mother and wrapped her arms around
Carolines leg. "Mommy, Grandma said you weren't feeling good. Are you
better now? I drew you a picture. Why are your eyes red mommy?"

Caroline laughed and picked Lilly up and carried her to another couch. She
sat Lilly in her lap and said "Michael, come here." Michael walked to the
couch and sat next to Caroline and said. "Mommy, were you crying? Are
you O.K."

Tears began to spill from Carolines eyes but she quickly brushed them away
and took a deep breath and put her arms around her children and pulled
them close. She looked up to Bobbie, Jerry, Jax and Brenda and nodded to
let them know that she had already begun the divorcing process.

"Babies?" Caroline said softly. "How would you feel about moving to New
Jersey?"

"Why are we moving mommy?" Lilly asked

"Is it because of dads job. Does he have to move?" Michael asked pulling
away.

Caroline reached out and ruffled Michaels hair. "Guys, remember when I
taught you all about differnt types of familys?" she waited for them to nod
before continued. "Well, Me and daddy are going to get a divorce."

"Why mommy? Are you mad at daddy? Did he do something bad?" Lilly
asked

"Yes baby, daddy did something bad, but he still loves you two. OK?
Always remember that." Caroline said tearfully.

"Does he still love you?" Michael asked

"That's not important, baby."

"Mommy , will we ever see daddy again?" Lilliy asked fearfully.

"Of course you will baby. I just called my lawyer and we are going to try to
make it so that we'll live in New Jersey, but you'll see your daddy every
three weekends. But kids, lisen nothing's definet. I'm just preparing you for
the MOST likel situation. OK?"

"I love you mommy." Lilly said, wrapping her arms around her mothers waist
and burying her face into Carolines shoulders.

"Me too mom." Michael said hugging her also.

Caroline hugged them back and said "Me too, always and forever."

Caroline looked up to the adults and began to sob, burying her face into
Lillys hair.

Bobbie came behind her, with tears in her eyes and put her hand on
Carolines shoulder.
