WILLARD DAYHUFF

Willard Dayhuff, 89, of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on March 31, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on December 9, 1918 in Patricksburg, Indiana.
During his working years, Willard was an electrician in Tampa, Florida. He became a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 108 on March 31, 1956.
Willard played softball many years with the Winter Haven Senior Softball Club. He was fondly known as "Suitcase" to his fellow softball players.
The Major League Baseball team Boston Red Sox once had their spring training headquarters in Winter Haven. While in the city, the Red Sox sponsored a senior softball team and Willard was a member of that Winter Haven Red Sox Seniors team.
Willard is survived by one brother, two sisters, one son, two daughters, seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
