This notice is confirmation of your insurance coverage which includes general liability and accident coverage for the parks you use, and for all the club / league officials, participants, coaches, managers, volunteers and spectators involved with the program.

All umpires are provided liability coverage. Paid umpires must be covered by an inexpensive accident policy. Accident coverage for unpaid umpires is provided under the umbrella policy.

Here is the coverage you receive:

Liability Coverage:

Most owners of fields - whether it is a city or a private owner - require that you carry an "additionally insured" liability policy on them and their facility. This is a liability policy that covers them in case of a lawsuit.

This liability policy also covers general liability claims against your club / league, its officials, participants, coaches, managers, volunteers, spectators and umpires.

The liability portion provides $1 million each occurrence for personal injury and products, $100,000 fire damage (per fire), with a $0 deductible per claim.

Accident Medical Coverage:

The accident medical portion of your coverage (which is now required in order to get the liability protection) is designed as a secondary medical policy to cover major claims after the primary health policy benefits have been exhausted.

The accident portion covers all participants, coaches, managers, volunteers, spectators and unpaid umpires. The coverage includes $25,000 medical benefit per claim (with a $2,500 deductible), $5,000 accidental death / dismemberment per claim.

Paid Umpires:

Paid umpires receive up to $25,000 in medical benefits per claim and $5,000 in accidental death / dismemberment per claim.

Insurance Binder:

We will send you an insurance binder that names the field that is covered and the address of the field so that you have it for the tournament and / or league play.

Equipment:

Under our insurance, you may use the Miken Ultra II and Synergy bats and all bats meeting the original 1.20 bpf standard.

The official SSUSA softball is the Trump 44 COR, 375 compression ball.
