• 1/2 c Butter Or Margarine, Softened
• 1 c Brown Sugar, Packed
• 2 Eggs, Large
• 1/4 c Milk
• 2 c Flour, Unbleached
• 1 tsp. Baking Powder
• 1 tsp. Cinnamon, Ground
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
• 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg, Ground
• 1/4 tsp. Cloves, Ground
• 2 Apples, Medium *
• 1 c Raisins
• 1/2 c Walnuts, Chopped
  * Apples should be cored, peeled and chopped. There should be 1 1/2 cups.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and milk; beat well.

Stir together flour and next 5 ingredients; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in apples, raisins, and nuts.

Drop by tablespoons onto well-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12 to 14 minutes. Immediately remove cookies to rack.
