Mama Shaw's Ginger Snaps


Measure flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in sifter and sift into a medium size bowl. Set aside

In a large bowl, mix butter until soft. Add egg, molasses and ground cloves. Mix until smooth.

Sift dry ingredients into butter mixture. Blend thoroughly.

Take cookie mixture and form into balls. Roll in granulated sugar and place on a well greased cookie sheet

Bake at 350º for 12-15 minutes.
