Caramel Apple Oat Squares


Preheat oven to 375º

In large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, baking soda and salt, cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Reserving 1-1/2 cups crumb mixture, press remaining on bottom of 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes. Add walnuts to the reserved crumb mixture.

In saucepan over low heat, melt caramels and sweetened milk, stirring until smooth. Spoon apple filling over crust, top with caramel mixture, then reserved crumb mixture.

Bake 20 minutes or until set. Cool.

Note: I like to serve warm with ice cream.
