• 3/4 cups margarine, softened
• 3/4 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp. almond extract
• 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup corn meal
• 1/2 tsp. baking powder
• 1/2 cup coarsely chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 350º

Beat margarine and sugar and 1/2 cup cream cheese at medium speed of electric mixer until fluffy. Add egg and almond extract; mix until well blended

Gradually and combined flour, corn meal and baking powder, mix well. Stir in almonds

Drop by rounded tsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes

Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes. Cool completely on rack
