Put the eggs in mixing bowl and beat slightly. Mix in sugar, then add flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla.
Mix well then add the walnut and dates. Pour into a 9x11 pyrex dish that has been greased and lined with wax paper. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and turn out onto rack. Remove wax paper and turn right side up on another rack. Cool, cut into squares and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
You can even lower the cholesterol further by substituting egg
substitutes.
Note: There is no shortening in this recipe.
