Mix shortening, sugar and egg. Mix well. Stir in pineapple
Measure flour using the dip, level and pour method or by sifting. Blend flour, soda, salt and nutmeg. Stir into moist ingredients. Mix in nuts. Chill 1 hour.
Heat oven to 400º. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto a lightly greased baking sheet
Bake 8-10 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched lightly
