• 8 ounces margarine, melted (2 sticks)
• 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten
• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 cup whiskey
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 4 cups pecans, chopped
• 4 cups raisins

Mix margarine and sugar. Add eggs and beat well.

Dissolve soda in whiskey and add to mixture. Stir in flour, nuts, raisins. It will be very thick and very sticky. Be careful that you don`t burn up the motor on a hand held mixer doing this. A counter top Kitchen aid would be the best for this.

Drop by spoons full on ungreased cookie sheet. Don't make them too big. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes
