Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

You can use any flavor pudding you like for this recipe. Makes 6 dozen (See note at bottom of page)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Stir in the instant pudding until blended. Then stir in the eggs and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto unprepared cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

I made these yesterday and I must say they are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made. They are still as soft today as when they came out of the oven yesterday. I used the vanilla pudding mix, but want to try using chocolate pudding next time. I also used 1 cup margarine and 1 cup Butter Flavored Crisco instead of the 2 cups butter. I only baked them for 10 minutes.
