Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies


Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheets with shortening. Place foil on top of counter for cooling cookies.

Combine shortening, brown sugar & granulated sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg, sour cream, honey & vanilla. Beat until just blended.

Combine flour baking powder & salt. Mix into shortening mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips & nuts.

Drop slightly rounded measuring tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.

Bake one baking sheet at a time at 375º for 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheets. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely
