Lemony Spritz Sticks

These sticks are great with after-dinner coffee

Set oven at 375º

In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar well until fluffy. Add lemon juice and lemon extract, beat well. Stir in flour and salt, and mix well. Press dough onto greased baking sheets into 3x1/2 inch strips.

Bake 5 minutes or until lightly browned on edges. Cool 2 minutes, remove from sheets. Cool completely

For an extra touch, I use a chocolate glaze, as follows

Chocolate Glaze

In small saucepan, melt 3 oz semisweet chocolate and 2 Tbsp. butter. Dip ends of strip cookies in chocolate glaze, then into chopped nuts.



Tip: When using electric cookie gun, use Decorator tip. Press dough onto greased baking sheets into 3x1/2 inch strips.
