Chocolate Frosting Cookies

This recipe is from the 'Secret Fast Food Recipes' cookbook by Gloria Pitzer

Beat mayonnaise with frosting until smooth. Mix in self-rising flour; pack dough into a measuring tablespoon leveling off over the rim of a bowl.

Drop tablespoonfuls of dough 2-inches apart on prepared cookie sheets (see note below). Bake at 350º for 15 minutes only. Let cool on baking sheet 3 or 4 minutes. Remove carefully.


Makes 4 dozen



**To Prepare Cookie Sheet: Spray cookie sheet with Pam and place in 375º oven, empty for 3 to 4 minutes or until Pam turns brown. Remove cookie sheet from oven and wipe off brown Pam with paper towel, leaving light but even film. Drop cookies at once onto warm cookie sheet, baking per recipe directions. DO NOT REGREASE between batches of cookies. This process works good for baking 7 dozen cookies before it needs to be regreased.



Note: I highly recommend any of this lady's cookbooks as she has wonderful recipes and other cooking ideas. Unfortunately, many of her cookbooks are out-of-print and hard to find. So, if you do happen upon any of them, lucky you!).
