• 1/2 Cup Honey
• 1/2 Cup shortening
• 1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 1/4 Cups Flour
• 1 cup Oats, quick-cooking
• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup nuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350º

In saucepan, melt honey, shortening and brown sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop by teaspoon, 3" apart, on greased cookie sheet. Bake 9 - 12 minutes and cool 2 - 3 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
