Cream together Crisco and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Blend in vanilla.
Sift together flour and baking soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
Drop by tsp. about 2 inches apart greased baking sheets. Bake in 350º oven for 15 minutes. Cool on cookie rack.
