- 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Brownie Mix
- 3/4 cup regular flour, unsifted
- 6 Tblsp. oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tblsp. water
- 1 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips,
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts, optional
Combine all ingredients, mix well.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 F for 11 to 13 minutes, start checking at 9 minutes.
Bake until cookies loose their gloss but still soft to the touch.
Remove & let cool for 2 to 3 minutes on cookie sheet.
Transfer to cooling rack.
When cool, store in airtight container.
Makes 70 to 85 cookies.
This is a recipe from 1972 & the brownie box weight was 1 lb. 7 oz.
The weight may have changed, but do not use the new snack size brownie mix.
These cookies are a big hit with teenagers & younger. I made 4 batches
(about 340 cookies) for a teenage party, they inhaled them. They baked
in 9 minutes in my oven, perhaps mine were smaller than recipe
suggested.
