The following accounts were written by my father as he recalled the events of his World
War II battle experience.  I, his daughter,  in tribute to him, have chosen to assemble   much of his
life experiences in order to show honor to him and those of his generation who have graciously served and given of themselves for this country, and our personal freedom!!
So, as we live in our world of glorious freedom, let us not ever forget these men and women's responses to our nations need to serve in selflessness, pride, bravery and the all too PRECIOUS SACRIFICES they endured.  These qualities of mankind are what each new generation of Americans need to learn to emulate.
!Here's to you Dad
THANKS AND YOU'RE WONDERFUL
My father lost the natural use of his legs at age 24. One to amputation from mortor fire, gangrene and other complications.  The other leg was rendered stiff from the knee being shattered by the same mortar.  Osteomolitis (bone disease), caused the bone to be unable to mend itself from several breaks throughout his life. Regardless, he provided for a family with active, commendable employment and all the attributes of a giving father.

Dad had his right leg amputated at the Veteran's Hospital in 2004.  This offered him the ability to ride in the front seat of a car, but he never drove again.

Dad passed away January 26, 2005.
He was 84 years old.

He will always be remembered as my Hero. . .brave to the end.

I miss you Dad.  I love you.
