Ahem! *Cough cough* Hello, young whippersnappers. I'm Strago Magus, master of the FFIII maps. I used to be a great map curator in my days. Oh, and I was the world's best Mage Knight too, but that's another story. I don't have a way to show that off. But I can show you the gorgeous parts of today's world. Both the world of today, as well as the way it used to be. Before Kefka. Just like the good old days. But at least I found my balance. Here's the maps! They take a LOOOOOONG time to load, but they're worth it!
This is the world map of the World of Balance. (First 1/2 of the game). A beautiful world, isn't it?
This is the map of the World of Ruin, which is the world after the armageddon. It looks hopeless, but there's a small light of hope that still exists. It's not as bleak as it looks.
This is the land map of the Floating Continent. It used to be the part of an island with the Esper Gate, but now it's parallel and strange. Kefka, Gestahl, and the Statues stand at it's peak.
This is the lower part of Narshe, where the game begins. Above it is the enterance to the mines. The central town of the game.
This is the upper part of Narshe, and the enterance to the mines. If you're lucky, you'll find Moogles, and a certain... sasquatch here.
This is Figaro Castle, home of Edgar & Sabin. It stands in the middle of a desert, and has the ability to submerge under the sand. A technological miracle.
Here is the map of the royal kingdom of Doma, Cyan's home. Kefka lays waste to it during a seige from the Empire's base, and nearly everyone is poisoned. But it remains a source of wonder throughout the game.
This is the imperial capital of Vector. Above is the imperial palace, and nearby is the Magitek Research Facility. It's about the way it looks.
