The Platteville Public Library has state-of-the art technology, offering free public internet terminals, copying and fax services, as well as word processing capabilities. The staff is comprised of the director, assistant director, and several others that work various times through the year. There is a preschool storytime program, held on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and the library has a summer reading program that is well attended by the local children. You'll find the staff knowledgable, courteous, and very friendly. It's a place for all residents to gather, relax, and learn.

Throughout the library, there are areas for all kinds of things. There's a reading area, complete with a comfy chair to snuggle up in and relax with a good book.
Also, if you need to do some studying or look up something in a reference book, there is also a conference area.
For the younger children, there is even a room where they can go to be around each other in a supervised learning environment.
