![]() REAL NAME: Nobody knows... OCCUPATION: Misunderstood toymaker, gay supervillain ANALYSIS: No substantial background was given for this character, so we can only go by what we know. We know that A) Character was apparently the head of a toy corporation, B) That character snapped after 8-bit video games began to outsell his merchandise, aned C) Character is majorly disconnected from "reality," worries only about having fun and cannot distinguish fantasy from reality. (His closest friend is a doll that he seems to believe has a mind of its own). Perhaps this is all true, but after watching many of his episodes repeatedly, and observing the way, he interacts with Megavolt, I began to suspect that the character was not genuinelly insane. Quackerjack decided to go insane, probably as a way of hiding from himself, and possibly because it seemed to be the smartest thing to do, business-wise. Quackerjack has an obsession with fashion, but his view is skewed to reflect the sensibilities only of 17th century jesters. Therefore, he sounds gay, AND archaic. He's often spotted with Megavolt and other super-powered villains, possibly due to self-hate for being a non-super-powered villain. In the Fearsome Five, he makes up for his lack of super powers by having superior fighting ability. He's fighting style seems to be one of his own creation, and involves a lot of bouncing and flinging his entire body around. |
