The Man I Love

This is the best pair program that I have ever seen. I watch this program, from the video "My Sergei", over and over again, but it always has the ability to move me. Their love for each other was so strong and so obvious that when I look at them skating this program "The Man I Love", I can feel what Katia was expressing to Sergei, and how Sergei is accepting her love, taking care of her. They look so beautiful together, and everything is just...perfect!

I first saw this program when they skated at the Olympic 1994 Games. Sergei once said that he loved this music and so did Katia. Their speed was marvellous, and they looked so fluid and graceful on the ice. The program was ended with them doing a front T-stop, looking at each other. Then she turned to him and Sergei held her hand, hugging her from behind.

This program is based on Romance and the rodin statue coming to life. Slow and touching program. They were forever holding each other throughout the program. Sergei gently pulled Katia to him. She arched her back and lay her body on his arm. Sergei ended by placing his hand on her head, embracing her..protecting her.
