What You Can Do To Help

no coercion, no force

I have created this Web site as my small contribution to the fight against psychiatric coercion and tyranny.

This page consists of an email or post that I have used in an attempt to inform and galvanize people to take action on this most important cause of social justice for all and the end to violence, disrespect and tyranny within coercive psychiatry.

The following are things it mentions that you can do to help:

  • Educate yourself about the violence and human rights violations of coercive psychiatry.
  • Educate the public.
  • Participate in demonstrations, protests and marches.
  • Respond to alerts which you can find on Dendron on the www.mindfreedom.org link, for example.
  • Stand up in defense of the allegedly insane.
  • Make the civil and human rights of the allegedly insane as important as the rights of any other group of people.
  • Link to this site to make the cause of social justice for psychiatric clients/survivors/victims/escapees more easily accessible to the general public.
  • Anything else you can think of or read or hear about.
The world needs your positive participation.

Please read the following and decide to get involved to make this world a more humane place for all of us.

And thank you for considering what contributions you can make to this fight for social justice for all.

In struggle,
Victoria D. Gaines

My story is rather skimpy to put in book form, I think, and also I no longer have the funds nor ability to publish and market it. But I wouldn't mind if someone else did it and put the bulk of the profits to my primary cause of ending coercive psychiatry--just as long as they give me credit for the poetry and the primary writing. . Feel free to use my story, or parts of it, to publicize domestic and psychiatric abuse.

Please realize that my story had minimum editing and that if you want to, or need to, you can freely edit and reorganize it as long as you make that clear to the readers.

Thanks to Dawn I have put the text version of my story and my poetry on my new site for anybody who wishes to use it for our fight against violence, abuse, insanity in this world. Thank you, Dawn, for giving me that needed nudge and encouragement.
