Okay forget the
Canada page... I well make my story short,
Its the holiday season, time to share the happiness and the sad parts
too. First let me greet everyone a warm hello and how do you do today.¨
We the Daughtons are doing very well. I should say that this year is
another big year of our life, everything has turned out well. This year
was unique and very interesting. :)
Last January we celebrated our New Year at home watching fire works.
January 4th my nephew arrived from India. Oh, let me introduce him. His
name is Tucker McGaw and he is the son of my sister Elena and
brother-in-law Eric McGaw. He came here to California to study in high
school. Sooner or later he will be a computer guy, For sure. Last June
we came to a very good reunion. My parents-in-law from Syracuse, New
York came to visit us. Together with Alanˇ¦s sister Julie and our
niece Shauna and nephew Jessie. We went to so many places and we had so
much fun. OK, here is what's happening to us this year. Alan was hired
to work on a big project for Mecsoft, a CAM software company. After
finishing this project he went back to Orbit where he works normally. In
March he got a promotion. He is the Division Head now. His first project
was a success. He wrote software that ran a line of industrial robots
that process sheet metal. Currently he is working on a big CAD
software product. He went to Tokyo for a week at the end of March to
help his boss get this project.
Now letˇ¦s talk about Gary my oldest son. He is an adorable guy. He
played baseball on the Orioles team last summer. His position was a
sometimes outfield and sometimes second base. He also was a pretty
good batter. He is in the 5th grade now. I love being his mom. Kids
sometimes change attitude. So I say Gary is like that; he changed so
much that you could imagine heˇ¦s getting older and starting to pay
more attention to girls. And he is still a good buddy to his brother
Ronald. Gary is doing well in his school, he loves activities and Math
is his favorite subject. He makes friends so easily and his two best
friends are Arjuna and Winsam. One thing for him is he is a really smart
kid, I am so proud of him.
My Ronald turned 4 last September 26th, 5 days after Garyˇ¦s birthday.
Anyway Ronald is so cute, he loves posing for the camera. Last April
when Alan was in Japan he was hit by a car and broke his leg. And I was
so upset I thought he would never be able to walk again but thank
goodness he is fine now. The man who hit Ronald didnˇ¦t have any
insurance and didnˇ¦t wait for the police to arrive. He was
tracked down by his license plate. He went into the police station
with his lawyer and the police let him go without even a ticket for not
carrying insurance. His lawyer must have been very good! Our
lawyer dropped the case as soon as he found out that he didnˇ¦t have
an insurance company to go after. We sued in Small Claims Court
but lost. The judge said that it is irrelevant that he didnˇ¦t
carry insurance, the police said he wasnˇ¦t at fault and so we had no
case. We are very confused by how justice seems to work in todayˇ¦s
America.
Last year Alan gave me a very nice toy, this computer that is being used
to write this letter. Since then the computer has become my best buddy.
I learned so much: how to build a website and webring, making a group
chat site in e-groups and searching and everything. I study all this on
my own. Sometimes I read Alanˇ¦s computer called Dynamic HTML. And
Windows Visually which really amazed me too. I learned so much. Too
much. Last August my husband did a big thing, he bought a house for me.
Its really nice, we have a pool and a big front yard and a big
back yard too, and a huge bedroom like a hotel suite. Alan remodeled our
house and he made it really. He really amazes me; he makes me spoiled. I
just wave my wand and TadahˇK there we go, I got my wish. ? Anyway so
much more going on in my life.
Ronald always wanted a kitten so with the new house we got a yellow
tabby that Ronald named Bill. He is very playful and doesnˇ¦t
seem to mind too much when Ronald carries him around and makes him
dance.
