Tonight my outlooks have been shaken,
Sifted o'er the fire, where self is melt away
And only Your truth remains fireproof through the blaze.
Humbled yet again am I when I see how wrong I've been.
I've been standing proud, not seeing the misconceptions,
The truth of excessive filth still found in me.
It's painful as I watch in the mirror
The fire testing how much I've truly given You.
As the times before, I'm so wrong again,
But with all that I am I now offer my whole being.
Here I thought I knew, only to find I'm just beginning!
Teach me, test me Father, I want to be with You!
Bowing in Your presence I long to be
The treasure of a purified Spirit set on You.
