Minutes from meeting September 30, 2002
Attendance: Elisheva, Jón, Luke, Raphael, Daniel,
Hailey, Sean, Chris, Geoff, Collin, Lana, Kendra, Laurel, Brent, Michelle,
Dave, Kegan.
q Is running for re-election of school trustee for
School Division 1, and we’d like to help her out.
q There will be a leafleting drive this Saturday, meet
at an address available in the LGBT* Center if you can help out, from 12-4.
q There will also be a fundraising social, I think
October 12th, so look forward to that.
Poster:
q The poster is done, with only a few minor changes
needing to be fixed up.
q Kendra will see to the printing, which will be done
on red paper
Tickets:
q Tickets will be available by the end of next week.
Decorations:
q Elisheva, Nina, and Raphael will head the
decorations committee.
q Raphael wants a rainbow flag
q Major theme:
red, silver, black, and rainbow bubbles.
q On the list:
wrapping paper and clear balloons.
Sound/Mus*iQ
q Jón booked the sounds system (and Chris and Dan will
DJ)
q The cost for sound is $140, collective agrees this
is okay.
q Kendra and Jón will pick up the sound system with
KENDRA’S TRUCK

q 4 group numbers are booked, it’s gonna be a great
show!
Silent
Auction
q Letters are made, and we’ll enclose a copy of the
poster with request letters, hoping for even more publicity.
Postering
q We really need people to poster the city (Mainly
Portage, the exchange, downtown central, the village, and Wolsely), so if you
can volunteer some time, please sign up, and take a stack of posters and a tape
gun!!!
Banner
q We’re gonna make a really big banner to display in
the centennial escalator hall, and we need as many people to help as possible.
q Kendra and Jón will staff the MPR (where we’ll be
making the banner) from 12-6 this Wednesday (October 2nd), so if you
can donate an hour of your time, please help.
q We want the poster up by October 11th,
which is not only Coming Out Day, but exactly a month before the event.
Food/Booze
q Chantelle and Geoff are looking after food
q Kegan says we’ll do pretty much the same thing for
booze as we did last year (Kegan is SO smart)
q This Wednesday, we are sponsoring a screening at Happenings.
q It starts at 6:00, and the cost is $7, and includes
the movie and FREE PIZZA (cuz we’re sponsoring it!)
q We’re gonna be getting a new computer within the
next few weeks (we love you Ihor!!!), and till then, we don’t have internet,
but are hopes are high, we’re so excited!
q We’re gonna be showing movies in the Bulman MPR all
day
